    Joe Gandara, Community Director

  • I was hired by Michaels Military Housing in June of 2008 and functioned as the Project Director overseeing all new construction, renovation and demolition at both Fort Huachuca and Yuma Proving Ground. In this position, I've grown to know the Mountain Vista Communities property very weIl, from utilities and construction to the legal agreements and in helping write the short and long term development plan for the next 50 years for military housing at Fort Huachuca. After completing the first 5 years of development, I have been afforded the opportunity to continue to serve as the Community Director for Mountain Vista Communities. I served in the United States Army for 22 years as an Engineer Officer and culminated my military career as a Battalion Commander deployed to Iraq with responsibilities for reconstruction of Bahgdad, Iraq. I then came to Sierra Vista to join the MVC team and have been very excited that I continue to serve the soldiers and their families in a different capacity, but one that is no less important, and take my responsibility to providing outstanding housing to the current generation of soldiers very seriously. Despite being an Engineer officer, I was in command of Intelligence and Signal Corps soldiers in my command capacity, and have had the opportunity to house some of the soldiers I deployed to war with Mountain Vista Communities outstanding housing. It is my privilege to continue to serve those still in uniform. Thank you for your service and Welcome Home!

    Shellie Cerecke, Assistant Community Manager

  • I have been the assistant community manager for MVC since privatization in 2009.  I have seen so many changes that have benefited our residents and community.  I am proud to work for a company that truly values their residents.  I have lived in Sierra Vista since 2005, but my family has ties to the area since the 1970’s.  My husband is a retired Marine, so I have first-hand experience with moving to new duty stations and having to make new friends, find a job & learn the new area.  Our goal is to make this portion of your transition to Fort Huachuca as stress-free as possible.  Welcome Home!

  • I have had the pleasure of working for Mountain Vista Communities since April 2011. My husband is an Army Veteran and I am proud to work for a company that helps provide a friendly and safe community for our soldiers! I have lived in the Sierra Vista/Fort Huachuca area off and on since I was in grade school and I graduated from Tombstone High School. My husband, daughter and I love living in beautiful Southeast Arizona and hope you will too!  Welcome Home!

  • Hello and welcome to the community! I have been with MVC since the very first day of privatization back in 2009. Being a part of the transition where we demolished outdated homes, to the opening of four brand new neighborhoods and a multi-functional community center on Fort Huachuca has been a joyful experience for me. As a local Sierra Vista native, I can attest that this Installation has grown in many ways and belonging to an organization that provides such stellar living to our military families truly is an outstanding feeling. I strive every day to cater to our residents with a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere so you can receive the full benefit that this beautiful community has to offer. Outside of the office, my daughter and I spend a lot of time hiking in the surrounding Huachuca Mountains or cheering on our Arizona Cardinals!   • I am the proud wife of a retired UAS Operator. I have had the privilege of being married to my best friend & am thankful I was able to follow him all around the world during his 22 year Army career. It is my desire to make your housing experience as pleasant as I can. I know the challenges you face serving in the military, because I have faced them too.
