For advanced waitlist placement, applications accompanied with orders can be submitted 90 days prior to your PCS date.  *All applications received without orders will not be placed on the waitlist.*
Additional Documents required: LES, DA 31 form, and DEERS (DD1172-2 form).
For DEERS information and appointments, contact 520-533-1608. You MUST notify DEERS that they need dependent information for housing included on the form, it does NOT happen automatically.
-All applications with orders but without all other supporting documentation will be placed in administrative hold coded priority 9 on the waitlist, meaning the applicant will not have a waitlist position or be offered a unit until necessary documents are received.
-Documents required to be removed from administrative hold include: DEERS (DD1172-2 form), DA 31 form, and LES.
-All necessary documents must be received within 10 days or applicants must re-apply. For walk-in applicants, see policy below.
-Applicants not in administrative hold will be coded priority 2 on the waitlist and can be offered housing.
-Applicants returning from an unaccompanied tour must have orders that indicate advanced placement credit. Eligiblity date will be based off of the last duty station's DA 31 form. Advanced placement priority is coded 1 on the waitlist.  
-Walk-in applicants within 30 days of their PCS arrival date will have an eligibility date from their DA 31 form.
-Walk-in applicants after 30 days of their PCS date will have an eligibility date equal to the date when the application and all necessary documentation is received.

The Army’s RCI Resident Utility Policy is based on the OSD policy to provide incentives to residents to conserve energy.  The partnership between the Army and private developers support this effort by providing incentives to occupants of privatized housing to decrease utility consumption and save energy. 
The Mountain Vista Utility Conservation Program uses the current consumption method which is similar to many other Army installations.  The difference at Fort Huachuca is that a 10% high/low buffer is used in the calculation with a $25 threshold.

  • BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH ~ Every Wednesday in October, from 8 am - 10 am at the MVC main housing office, Bldg. 52065, Smith Street. 

All month long MVC housing staff will wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month every Wednesday. All residents are invited to join us at the main housing office for pink foods and swag each Wednesday in October. No RSVP is needed.

Refreshments will be served at the main housing office between 8-10 am each Wednesday in October.

Each resident that attends in pink apparel will be entered to win a pink ribbon bag with a $10 Starbucks gift card and other prizes.

  • SPOOKIEST HOUSE CONTEST ~ Judging Halloween Week

Now that  the Yard of the Month contest has ended for the season, we will be judging each neighborhood in search of the creepiest house on the block! Each winning home will receive a $25 rent credit and a new outdoor decoration to use on their home for next year!

Judging will take place the week of Halloween by MVC staff. We appreciate creativity, but please use appropriate decorations, do not be too scary. You do not need to nominate a home, MVC will drive each street the week of judging.

  • PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST ~ Judging Halloween Day

All housing residents are encouraged to submit a photo of each pumpkin carved for the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Categories are: scariest, funniest, most difficult and most creative pumpkin. Judging will be by residents attending the 5th Annual Trick or Treating Event on October 31st.

Deadline to submit photos is 7:30 am on Halloween Day. Send your photos to Jolene at There will be SPOOKtacular prizes to each winner!

  • TRICK OR TREAT WITH MVC ~ Friday, October 31st from 2 pm - 4 pm at the main housing office, Bldg. 52065 Smith Street. 

You are invited to join us for our 5th Annual Trick or Treat event! Children must wear costumes to participate. Toys, snacks and candy will be given by each person in the housing office! Treats, popcorn and beverages will be provided. No RSVP is needed to attend. There will be door prizes too!!
