                        ****MVC Resident Scholarship now available****

Mountain Vista Communities is proud to announce that the 2016 Resident Scholarship is now available. (Below in Blue)
 
Since 2009, The Michaels Organization Educational Foundation has awarded 44 resident scholars a total of $138,100 just here at Fort Huachuca! 
 

Eligible applicants should be a high school senior or graduate that is pursuing a higher level of education for the 2016/2017 academic year. Former recipients may apply again. 

Deadline to apply is April 15, 2016 - please note that your application must be received by this day at The Michaels Organization home office in New Jersey - do not submit your application to the housing office or mail it on April 15th.

For waitlist placement, applications accompanied by orders can be submitted 90 days prior to your requested housing date.  Please contact your housing specialist if you do not yet have orders at the 90 day point.  Advanced application is strongly encouraged!

 

Additional Required Documents to Apply for Housing:

-DD1172-2 DEERS enrollment verification form or other form of dependent verification.  Contact your housing specialist for approved alternatives.

-DA31 Please submit a working copy with your application, followed by a fully signed version when it becomes available.

-Most recent end of month LES showing BAH status.

-Applicants returning from an unaccompanied tour will submit orders for Fort Huachuca, as well as orders for the unaccompanied tour.  Placement on the waitlist will be based on the report date for the unaccompanied tour.

There are several ways to submit your application for housing.  You may submit via email, fax or by mail addressed to your designated Housing Specialist.

PLEASE NOTE:  Your Housing Specialist will contact you within 5 business days of receiving your application. To prevent miscommunication regarding your application, please wait 5 business days before contacting our office with questions or changes regarding your application.

Walk-In Applicants:

-Walk-in applicants within 30 days of their PCS arrival date will have an eligibility date from their DA 31 form.

-Walk-in applicants after 30 days of their PCS date will have an eligibility date equal to the date when the application and all necessary documentation are received.

The Mountain Vista Communities Maintenance Office is located at 110 Meyer Avenue, just behind the community center. 

The maintenance department can be reached at 520-458-5885 or by email at FHWorkorder@themichaelsorg.com.  PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL EMERGENCY REQUESTS!

After hours maintenance is available for housing emergencies 24/7 at 520-458-5885.

Residents at Mountain Vista Communities have exclusive use of the MVC Community Center. The features include a fitness center, tot room, game room, indoor and outdoor fireplace, cyber center, playground, basketball court, volleyball court, frisbee golf course and a multi-purpose room. 

Hours of use are Sunday -Thursday from 5 am to 10 pm and Fridays & Saturdays from 5 am to 11 pm. 

RESERVING THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM (MPR)

The multi-purpose room is available by reservation only and can be used by MVC residents for meetings, birthday parties and more. There is a fully operational kitchen, projector screen, tv with blu-ray/dvd capabilities, audio sound system and wifi. Tables, chairs, highchairs and a podium are also available. 

The refundable deposit for the MPR is $250 and must be in the form of a check. More information on the deposit will be given upon your confirmation when reserving the room.

Bounce houses or jumping castles are not permitted at the community center. BBQ grills and other outside cooking is not permitted. 

To reserve the multi-purpose room email Jolene at JCooper@Themichaelsorg.com. Be sure to include the date you wish to use the room along with your name, phone number and address. 

 
Additional documents and/or information may be needed before Mountain Vista Communities  will approve some requests.
